Track Training: Week 2

Welcome back to the Weekly Mileage training log for the 2019 Track season, lets get into week 2

Monday, March 4th: Today was an indoor stair workout since it was still to snowy to go outside. Only totaled 1.6 miles this day.

Tuesday, March 5th: Finally got outside today for a 5 mile run @ 7:40 pace. Sidewalks were snow covered and made it difficult to get through.

Wednesday, March 6th: First workout of the season. 2 miles warm-up, 8 400’s @ 80 seconds each and the a 2 mile cool-down to finish. Not to bad weather wise other than a little chilly being 28 outside.

Thursday, March 7th: 6.23 miles for a recovery run @ 8:06 pace.

Friday, March 8th: Another Workout, this time 10 400s @ 80 seconds each that included a 2 mile warm up and cool down. Still a little chilly being 28 again!

Saturday, March 9th: No Run

Sunday, March 10th: Long run day that totaled 8.63 miles. I forgot my shoes and had to use an old pair…NOT A GOOD IDEA. Legs were feeling it by mile 1, going @ 8:15. The rest of the run did not go well.
