Track Training: Week 1

This is the first week of Outdoor Track season so this along with all of the following weeks for a while will be track related.

Monday, February 25: 2 Miles outside @ 7:32 pace. The weather was -2°F and Sunny with 10 mph wind to the North.

Tuesday, February 26: 3.5 Miles outside @ 7:42 pace. The weather again was freezing at 9°F with 10 mph wind to the East

Wednesday, February 27: 3 Miles indoors that included a stair workout. 10 min easy followed by sprinting up 3 flights of stairs with a strong sprint for 10m and that was repeated 8 times.

Thursday, February 27: 5.5 miles outdoors @ 7:30 pace. Nice day of 19°F with only 3 mph wind. It has snowed a lot the past weeks and sidewalks still are not scooped which makes it difficult to run in especially wearing Nike Zoom Fly with the flat slick bottom. Finished off the run with 8 100m strides

Friday, February 28: Workout Day, warm up of 2 miles, 1min fast pace (around 6-6:15 pace) and 2min slow (nice recovery pace) doing that 6 times. completed this with a 2 mile cool down. The weather was fair at 28°F and another day with 10mph wind.

Saturday, February 29: No run today. Snowed 4 inches and felt a day off would be good for my legs.
